Life Drained to the Black Abyss - Gespenst

I cannot wake

I cannot get out of this flesh

My eyes have been eternally fixed

At the spectrum of darkness

A blackened stream of despair

It seems I have always been here

Swirling and gnarled are the hands at my throat

Drawing me down

Strange forms are present

I know not what they want

But feel their cold gaze on my soul

As I fall into the darkness

Into the black abyss

Expelled from my being by a blasphemous whisper

The essence is yearning to remain with me

Its screams absorbed into utter affliction

Creating abhorrent formations of what I once was

This tragic figure of sorrow is pulled into unholy darkness

In a final attempt to remain in existence

It clings to my flesh, tearing it off

As my life is drained to the black abyss
