Don’t ever give up, don’t ever give in

Don’t you ever let up, don’t you ever be quitting

Now it’ll be one year ago, the 10th of May

When he vanished into thin air just up up and away

And she still blames herself to this very single day

Was it something I did or something I didn’t say

In many ways she feels like her fault that he did it

He went out for milk but he never came back w/ it

She waits at home and waits by the phone

Three kids and unemployed and she still stuck all alone

So what you gonna do Ma now where you gonna go

Don’t give up things like these they come and go

Keep on holding on this is all I only know

In every single situation God’s in control

The second scenario just a little different

I don’t want to be specific or have to be explicit but

I’ll paint the picture and hopefully now you get it

It used to take place any time his uncle paid a visit

And everything that happened crushed him

He was scarred and destroyed just from one man’s lusting

Touched in places that he never should’ve been touched in

Scared him said he’d kill him and cut him just to hush him

And for 10 long years he couldn’t function

Tell he met the one and only person now that truly loved him

And found a refuge when the arm of Christ held him

If ya ask how he made it this is what he tells him that

Here’s the question now tell me what do you do

When you feel the whole world just got dropped on you

And everything you built crash land on top of you

And nobody seem to care just what your going through

Do ya give up give out drop out or drop in

Do you walk out wake up cop out or stop then

Now how much would it take for you to throw the towel in

How soon will you break now how soon ya giving in

How far can you make it if your always quitting then

That’s the message that I send hopefully ya hearing then

On man ya can’t depend so don’t put your trust in him
