An enchantress within the trees

Darkness decides her scheme

Her voice is that of terror

A night when corpses rise and search for lively prey

Gathered by rotten fingers — brought neath the darkened bog

Twisted and tortured your humanity robbed

The beauty once sown within your soul transferred to the land

Consumed and reused

Selfish to think this body would serve only you

Fed to the trees

Fed to the land

That which resembles teeth develop from the tree’s husk

A mouth to swallow more meat

A hunger swells

A forest grows

Roots entwine with innards and form a new you
