Perception fails

My mind (moin moin) struggles with the crimes of others

Awareness fails

Your knives won’t pierce my skin here anymore

I won’t let you conquer my own mind

You won’t bring me down with doubting eyes

Come what may now, come what should

No one to trust but friends and blood

Don’t put your trust in the weak or the unkind

A traitor’s halo is never meant to shine

Facades force me to see through masquerades

How can I trust, when my own mirror still deceives

Stop using me like a puppet
