Like a moth to a flame

I see a shape trembling

Cloaked, eerie beast, it speaks

«come hither love, to me»

The bravest of the three, questioning

«why art thou all forwrappéd save thy face?»

«It is a wretched curse

I walked the earth

To find a soul

That can release me from this infinite hell

But now I shall remain;

Cold, pale and still

As long a time as it is Gods will

Pain fills my days like a constant noise

I have begged death to take me away

Cursed are the fates

I dance into the fires

At the ground that is my mothers grave

I lay with her, early till late

Mother let me in

Look at me now, dull flesh, blood and skin

Let me die

Box up my living corpse

When will I wake from this nightmare?

Death, let me die

Will you not do me that grace?

Look at my forlorn face

Can’t you see my life’s not worth living?

But to you it is of no concern
