I’ve been turning the pages

I’ve been practicing patience

I finally learned what pain was

In 2016

My mom got remarried

I learned to love my new family

My dad even turned 61

But he still believes in love

I think I finally know the difference

Between hiding between living

Between pain and reminiscing

I learned to have forgiveness

When I lost all of my best friends

To some sick impure intentions

I still wish them all the best

I guess that everyone’s a lesson
