Once I lived in darkness

I’d chosen not to see

Then Jesus came the way, the life

The truth to set me free

My Lord called me to His side

Giving me pleasure, pain and pride

Guilty, shame and emptiness

Lord a dead man lived inside me

But then you came into my night

Flooded it with your truth and light

Your gentle hands restored my sight

To save my life you were crucified
