I’ve been down for too long

I almost drowned

There was darkness all around

And it pulled me down to the deep

Didn’t know what I was searching for

What I found

But now it’s all in front of me

And I try to reach out to you

Helpless and bad

I can see the faces on the shore

They’re a million miles away

And I held on as tightly as I could

I fall through

But these waves keep on hitting me

They drag me down

And I try to breathe I try to scream

But I’m too far, too far down

I’m floating on these waves

They’ll take me home

There’s darkness all around

Down below

I’m hallucinating now

It’s getting cold

A sudden gasp of air

And now I let go
