The Wandering - Carridale

These Alabama Summers are killing me.

Cause I don’t get to see them for anything.

I hoped I’d be there this time.

This roads been longer and harder to drive.

I’ve been thinking about a girl back home,

The one I left to see what we could do on our own.

She’s always had a problem believing in anything or anyone.

But where ever I’m going just know I’m with you.

Never had something I was so scared to lose.

6 months and now seclusion is killing me.

Cause I don’t get to see you for anything.

I know it gets hard sometimes,

But these empty floors and couches are just my disguise.

I’ve been dreaming my whole life through

And boring out my soul cause I had nothing to lose.

But if I leave forever tomorrow I swear to God I’ll find you.

Cause where ever I’m going just know I’m with you.

Never had something I was so scared to lose.

I, I’m counting down the miles.

Between here and that river city I hold so dearly.

With green eyes inviting me in.

And I, I’m coming back home.

Who knows for how long.

But we’ll make it ok.

Just another day in the life of the wandering.

We can be anything we dream, as long as you keep holding on to me.

And I’ll come and go but we’ll make our own life, however we see.

And as soon as we get there we’ll never leave.
