I was just wasting some time

Watching the moon slowly rise

I don’t know why

As it sat there and lit up the night

The stars were cascading through time

I was a little high

I’ve never fit into this place

No I can’t keep up with it’s pace

I’d rather be quietly dreaming

But I don’t want to let anybody down

Then I saw the gathering storm clouds in the southern sky

So I finished my cigarette and I went inside

Inside the music played slow

In the moonlight everything glowed

And I could breathe

Then my thoughts started drifting away

Through the window and out into space

I hope I never let you down

Then the moon disappeared behind storm clouds that swallowed it’s light

And through the darkness I heard the rain fall all night

Oh the thunder was loud and the lighting was dazzling and bright

And I went to bed but I felt like nothing was right
