Splinters in my hands again

Today I wrote a song

About some old friends

The bed that I’ve made is full of

Splinters getting deeper

And this one’s gonna hurt like hell

Even though i know it hurts me

I’d do it all again to feel this pain

At least i know it’s worth something

I push everything good away

Drag my hands across the floorboards

Of a house we built together

And now it’s left a couple splinters
