You could keep me up all night if you wanted a list of the reasons why I don’t

Mumbling something about a soul to keep

And I hold true the notions that we don’t have the time to be worried about

things that we can’t see

But I meant it when I talked of limitless loving

So you’d better be happy, yeah, or this was all for nothing

As I take my same seat on the bus on the way in to meet you wondering if it’s

worth my while

And I wish that I had it in me just to pull you aside and then out of your exile

But you’ll choose the life that you lead

Far be it for anyone else to dictate what you need
