Stranded -

I’m wandering down the wide and crowded halls

of another cold and bearish and — oh so impersonal — airport unknown

Striding along these endless and coloured walls

sometimes bumping into — oh so many — beings like the unhappy clown

And as I pass all these count- and faceless shops

advertising this and that and — oh so many — promotions in heaps

Telling me — urgently- and all the time that I should buy

and if I did It would be, it would be cheap

But I’m not happy

Not happy at all

I’m just stranded here

Feeling empty — feeling small

So obviously and magically I get drawn towards the bar

I’m having one, two and more of these sweet and costly drinks

Thinking life is very strange and if I’d die here on the spot

would anyone at all notice the unlucky jinx

Then again I reflect — it’s not so bad to pass away

In the middle of people with a drink in my not so sober hand

Could be worse, I think, for example freeze to death

or die of thirst in a merciless and endless burning desert of sand

So I’m not happy

And as I mentally board this dark journey of remorse

There’s an announcement on the speaker telling me

«We are very sorry to inform you that due to higher force

flight LX4 is cancelled, your drinks are for free»

So I’m not happy
