I see the way it goes and I wonder where it all has gone to

We slip away when did this change?

I used to sleep with the light on

But these days we only sleep through the waves

As it all passes by we take no time to say our goodbyes

Only focused on our lives

Even when we speak I’d rather be stranded out to sea
