Look at us now, so far from perfect

Falling short, but can we work

More money, more fame

More things, man we’re so vain

Black cards, gold chains

Less freedom but more pain

There’s separation and segregation

Racism still claims the innocents

And the innocence is bleeding out from our veins

There’s a disconnect in our intellect

When we see the facts but we don’t react.

How can y’all watch somebody die

Just cause their skin is black?

I don’t get how you deny the truth

Today it’s him but tomorrow you

Eyes wide shut looking all confused

Like you’re bulletproof in that fancy suit

We need more guns!

Mass shootings and car bombs.

Whole cities on lockdown

Politics got us run down
