I watch the world;

it breaks my heart

How many lives are thrown away

To change the world

We’d have to start with each of our children

We’ll never stop our ways of war

If we don’t stop to love a child

We’ve got to give them something more

More than we’ve ever given before

Sing for the children

Take time for the children

And love can be learned if we just teach it

Bring to the children

A dream to believe in

I close my eyes, my father’s face

Is always there though he is gone

He sees me through my darkest days

He lives here inside me

If we could give each child that much

The world would be a better place

A tender word and loving touch

Are a small price to pay for saving the life
