I was born in a North Washington labratory

Machine parts, human heart, like a science fiction story

Then one day I was suddenly aware

Quite abrupt I sat up in my chair and said

I am sentient being

I am a feeling machine

I was refined in the mind of Dr. Stanley Zeedy

Wanted to give a press, it was such a mess, people wanted to destroy me

Then one day the doctor smuggled me out in the trash

He looked at me and said

Son, remember to laugh

You are a sentient being

I want to get out get a life of my own

Someone to hug and hold me

I was afraid she would go away

If she knew the whole story

Then one day I told the truth

I said I’m not even real
