I would walk up a hill

The world was soft and still

But my heart cried, my heart cried

Looking for miles and miles

Over roofs where strangers sleep

A burning grows inside

Before the sun came up

I would pick flowers

But the only thing that’s same today

Is God who wiped those tears away

He came through as He always would

Upon the hill with me He stood
