Ashes - Lazy Habits

I could level aim shoot the blame that just fans the flames

Reach the same conclusions either way you choose to view them

Goals we lose them a flash of real life

Cast a shadow using smoke and mirrors an illusion

I’ll hold a funeral just to mark and symbolise the movement

One singular direction split the plane was hit and doomed

But the crew pursued a meaning while conclusions all accrued

This is a black box recorder from the wreckage with a clue

Started with a fuse lit blew fire spread and grew

Bed of fuel by someone that had followed other shoes

Sick of all the fights, diluted water from the glue

Distorted crystal coastlines with an eyesores and a view

Moved to pastures new slept through regained an appetite

Started to recruit the year that flew before I tried to fly

Then I ran and jumped threw myself off highest heights

But it ain’t about the kinda sore I see no end in sight

Started right headed for the underground to start the climb

The future of our cops are props that promise grand designs

All lazy habits left behind to focus energy and time

Reminders nothing comes to those who stay reclined

Music was my valentine I wrote declared my love declined

Police what was free with practise bars and battled live

They say that honey moves the start of the decline

To us it just improves our sight, opened up the blinds

Basically we waited, through our bridges in the right way

Creating a foundation, a history in the making

Think of something cool that won’t get lost in the translation

Even if it’s just so I can hear what I’ve been saying

And with formats these day words will never fade away

Decay by age in a galaxy of cyberspace

Moves are made, ripples turn to waves

Is there something left to play for is this play just being staged?

Is there time to save the day or just enough to see it slip away

I know I’ve seen some kneel and pray, me I stand and sway

Easter there’s a standaway, we both aim to reach the summit clamber on it come

So till our ashes blow away forget to settle in, get there or die honest fast

The wreckage and debris

Coffin on a tree

A ravenous consumption

Has got me on my knees

My eyes are level with defeat

But I refuse to lose to sleep

Stakes are satisfactory
