Everything’s fine in the suburbs

They’ve neatened up the grass where it meets the curb

Someone’s left the post with the neighbour

I know it’s just the same old behaviour

But I can’t conceal that hole I feel

That familiar crunch of the gravel

Underneath my feet as I unravel

I’ll go and find a new way of living

If everyone’s a friend and I’m forgiven

How can I deny, just say goodbye and go?
