As I leave this empty shell

Am I changing or learning to fly?

Leaving all the past behind

Is it possible to be kept as one?

Flap these wings to meet my fate

Is it a miracle of life I see

Or a law I can’t avoid?

Can we really choose the one to be

Carrying out our destiny?

How can good turn to bad?

Am I free or under control?

Does this life belong to me?

How can we face a future we

Can’t foresee?

Flap these wings and never stop

Isn’t it beautiful the life we see

And all that moves around?

Is it a deadly sin, daring to believe

To control metamorphosis?
