Foreign automobiles

So the kids are safe

Leather hands on the wheel

For porcelain plates

Beg and borrow and steal

It’s not what you make

But what makes you real

So ain’t it strange

To spend all your days

Watering a seed

Just hoping it bears your face?

No one complains

When the weather is warm

Must be okay

If there’s nothing wrong

It takes a plane

A bomb, or a baby

To wake you up

When you’re lost in the lobby

So, why we birth?

To find a womb

To fill with a daughter?

Or make a son

With a girl that’s forever?

You met her in high school

Said you would die together
