I always wonder why September made me sad

And why I wish for things that I can never have

And why I’d rather write to beats then be in class

So, when I said this was my dream why did everybody laugh?

And why they think they know me when they don’t know the half

Like how my dad been working 12 hour days

And how my mom work two jobs, still underpaying

Work till I make it, everybody waited

No days off and the roadway long

It was Wednesday in September when I wrote this song

Feels like I don’t belong, I sit in my room alone
