Illumination without light

The melding of the senses into a platform

My field of dreams

Once upon a time in a river of thought

I was expanded into a gesture of altered awareness

Damn near forgot the stream exists

Despite the dream and why not

This is a wondrous realm of many delights

Sights, sounds, and sensations

Patience and impulsiveness

Balance and bliss

Jubilation, pain

Suffering are the same

I grab the reins

To control my fate

It’s been a long time coming

And Heaven won’t wait

The light cascades

In the color in bath shades

Of real or whatever appeals

To your pathways

Of perception however perverse

The first step’s a doozy

It could be an energy burst

Or even Lucy in the Sky

With the girl’s best friend

But it don’t extend

And so you wonder why

You even want to fly

And then you might gather the gumption to try
