Together we were flying kites

So close you were to me

One day a kitten walked home with you

It ran away right through the open door

I knew my childhood was over

I could not comprehend I was misled

Serenity of passing hours

I didn’t think that they would ever end

I missed the signs

You stood beside me for a moment

Your urge was stronger that the will to stay

So you went away

I don’t want to feel ashamed

You didn’t make me proud

To take the blame, to face it
