The ones I love are near

Golden silver ribbons

Gifts are being given

Sound of children’s laughter

Garland of the rafter

For all the prayers I’ve prayed

I’m home on Christmas day

Through all of the turns and the bends

Like I was led by a star

Just to get here where you are

Through the dark nights and the miles

Caught in the rush and the noise

Follow the light of your smile

And I heard the song of your voice

Away in a manger

No crib for His bed

The little Lord Jesus

Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky

Looked down where He lay
