Rich Man - Rough Draft

Every day they had the simple needs

But every day was a struggle

They have the possibilities

Had no one but me and each other

And everyday I’d ask them,

Is it worth it in the end

Then my father turned and said

«Every year I make a living

And though the rich may call me sad

I’ve got my family beside me

And I’m alright with what I have,

Because I’m a rich man»

And everyday I’d questioned if it was true

I didn’t believe until the day

I met the family with a lot of money,

but they had no unity

Then I realized who I was and what I have

And what my father had meant

«Every year I make a living

And though the rich may call me sad

I’ve got my family beside me

And I’m alright with what I have,

Because I’m a rich man»

Throughout the years and for my son

I will teach of how we’ve lived on

Trust in God and one another

And just reach out to your brothers
