An open hand, a spirit of grace

And the world that he’d built anew

Occupy this throne

And any man who is without sin, let him

The words of Christ must have fallen on

Deaf ears and stony ground

For his disciples took his wisdom and

Twisted it around

Will it be you

Will it be me

Who among us is worthy

To cast the first stone

Deliver the first stone if you can

Deliver the first blow if you be

Worthy of your fellow man

Who among us could it be

An enlightened student of the stars

Once tried to show us

What he’d learned

But men weren’t ready for the truth, he

Realised as he burned
