I could hear their desperate cries

As the desolation rained from the skies

Disappearing before my eyes

They were gone with no chance to say goodbye

All that’s left is an empty shell

As I gazed through the eyelids of my hollow cell

Will this nightmare become my hell?

With the way things are going, only time will tell 'cause

I’m way past burning bridges I leave them decimated

In the midst of family and friends I feel most isolated

Alone at the end, despite the crowd

The solace of silence, the only thing

That drowns these voices out

You’re a burden, no one wants to share your pain

No one needs to know your name

Just take a look at yourself when you’ve got no one else
