Flat - Sun Q

My flat is empty like a sheet of paper.

I can hear the water boiling in the kettle.

My phone is silent as a frog in water,

All the clothes are jumping outside the wardrobe.

Seven walls are thicker than a wing of insect.

I am wicked by Winter, I have lost my instincts.

Like a foolish actor I must play it louder louder louder —

Useless song for others on the dusty piano…

I can draw the silence with my twisted heartline

On the broken window, (that) never let the sunshine.

I’m like crazy keeper of abandoned lighthouse,

Couldn’t catch the children playing in the rye grass.

Sing louder — and no matter what they say!

Play harder — let this sadness go away!

Get stronger to survive in empty flat,

Let freedom make you absolutely mad.

I will put a sea shell in the autumn ground.

I will search for meaning that cannot be found.

I am sure that distance doesn’t really matter

When you get and scramble all my rotten letters.
