School notes soaked in memories

They dry out while the feelings left me

In the hall losing ground that year

Photographs, they seem so silly

And fake laughs and all so pretty

The only thing that made me feel alright

Is the one time we got in trouble

For sneaking out, we were so subtle

We climbed the fence into the pool that night

As we woke up at 6:30

And the schoolyard would fill up once again

All the days began to blend as one

These are the things we have to deal with now

These vacant things and all the takers

They run away and try to fake us

To think that they know what’s best for us

We get away for just a minute

To see the stars and watch the infinite
