Compelling as it is to be complete, I step into the breach knowing what Iʼll

meet

The same self-perpetuating simplistic need, so reliant on another,

so willing to concede

This is the last time I will miss you

Without contempt or a thought misspent, Iʼll suck it up to get my fix when I

get knocked for six

A weight thatʼs too distinct be ignored, an inevitable ache

An ache that leaves me floored

A time to realign with grit in earnest, confrontd by the fact trust may never b

restored

The chances are Iʼll fall from high again, but I wonʼt give up, and I wonʼt
