Will you invite me around

For a bottle of wine

And a chat about old times?

Don’t move too far away

But if you do I’ll come and stay

And keep you up all night long

With silly jokes and dumb songs

Distance drives me crazy

But convenience makes me lazy

I’ll be there like you knew I would

A walk will do me good

I’ll wear a top with a hood if it’s raining

Will you get yourself a cat?

They’re cute and keep you company

I’ll come around more often

If you find yourself a house

Will you invite me over?

I’ll come stay on your sofa

'Til you ask me to leave

A castle or a box

Just make sure it’s got a window

So your basil grows well

And your cat doesn’t smell

And a fireplace is nice

But a candle will suffice

When I come around

And warm your new house
