Bottom Dog -

Well here it goes again

Looks like I got the short end of the stick

Oh, and while you’re at it

You might as well learn me another trick

Well, how can I pretend

When you toy with my emotions

Will it never end?

And will it cease my blind devotion?

I’ll go and fetch the mail

Then you can kick me in the head

Don’t bother feeding me

What’s the use?

I’m nearly dead

I keep you company

But you burn me like a fire log

What ever did I do

To deserve to be your bottom dog?

I guess I’m just a bottom dog

Well ain’t that a shame?

It sucks to be a dog

When your life is filled with pain

I musta been left behind

When they handed out the books

But soon enough you’ll find

I’m not as dumb as I looks

You told me to sit and stay

So I got up and I walked away

You screamed and shouted my name

But I was tru with playing games

I’d been mistreated far too long

You wept in grief while I was gone

But I discovered I was wrong

And now I’m back where I belong

So put me on a leash

And treat me like a dog

My life is incomplete

Unless I’m your bottom dog

A blue ribbon hound

Who’s been left out in the rain

A five star canine that musta got took

I guess I truely have to be as numbskulled as I look!
