I heard the guy next door as he bumped to the floor

It was early morning, he’d done that before

This time it came with a different touch

At that point I didn’t think of it much

Surely the guy is heavy and tough

But who knows when someone had enough?

Roaming the streets after dark

Jump to conclusions on small remarks

The sinister guy in every scene

He found himself a bad routine

Hiding his life in the shade

One of those that is sure to fade

He got another stone when he died

It says: here lies a man who tried

But never escaped the rising tide

Never came across the great divide

Maybe someone stole his heart of gold

Replaced it with something empty and cold

Let’s just say it didn’t feel right

When dark clouds came rolling in that night

A big shot having a mean tattoo

Still he knew there was nothing to do

He got another stone when he died
