Till Solace, She'll Haunt - Through The Eyes Of The Dead

I remember that day and the cloud of uncertainty

That hovered over my head

As I probed the site she once called home

I was left to ponder

Whether death existed beyond those walls

I did not know her

Therefore her life held no importance to me

And if the reaper had claimed her then so it shall be

I’d speak a lie

If I did not admit that I eagerly welcomed her death

For this life is merely a glimpse until our final breathe

The heavy air that carried

The stench of a rotting corpse was quite overwhelming

Her excruciating reek was enough to lure insanity

And if the reaper claimed her, so it shall be

For it was my decomposed body

I have never bared witness to a corpse

How fitting to have met death at the door
