I have no idea of who I am, no recollection of my purpose

Just watching time go by.

I have never seen another me

So alone, so empty, just waiting for what know not I.

I never thought to leave, didn’t know what would happen

Caught in another world, all alone, locked in this castle of dreams

An endless forest of lightless trees, cast shadows on the writings

That appear upon the darkness of these walls

The stale and acrid aromas of seclusion and decay

Permeate the spaces rooms and halls

Climbing, climbing — Slowly I reach for the light

Doorways, towering — Reaching incredible heights

My eyes playing tricks — Not used to the brightness

A world full of wonder — Not sure what I see is real

In the darkened shadows lay a lonely silhouette

a creature with protruding bones and sickly yellow flesh

I quickly turn away not understanding what I had seen

Try to make my way back home not knowing where I’d been

Haunted silent dreams

Images that mock me, listening to their vanished echoes

Nothing’s what it seems, alone and dazed I trembled at the thought
