Keeping Count - Wind In Sails

There’s a demon at my door

And he’s keeping count of all my past mistakes

Disguised as someone that I know

Waiting patiently like there’s no one left to take

And if it’s all the same

I wonder why it is he came

Why do I feel like I’m walking over my own grave

Have a lead an honest life

Can I work my hands raw enough

To show how hard I’ve tried

What if we all end up alone

I’m hoping there’s something more that we have not been told

Quoting every line won’t slow it’s curse on us

So live like you were meant to make it

Hold your head up high and never doubt yourself
