Slow Fasting - S.T.I.C.S

I never believed we were conceived to consume

In the evening perceiving the moon, luminescent shining via the sun

Feeling my human essence and reaching higher via the one

Our desires conspire against us like «we don’t care!»

living our lives trying

to have fun

Not thinking who’s giving air to our lungs

Preoccupied with the worldly surely some of us have never felt hunger

There’s mostly greed in our chests, stressed and busy chasing ain’t it strange

that patience only comes to those waiting?

So, I guess that we’re blessed with the opportunity every year that manifests

But the rest of the year we hear and forget, or we — fear to reflect

And truthfully it’s a test we all want to pass

So as I pass this along — I ask you to check

What is wrong and what is right?

You are sublime so don’t stay calm as sheitan steals your time

We can, feed the less fortunate more than adorning ourselves with ornaments

There is more to what a mortal is, than meets the eye, and the portal is divine!
